Elmer E. Kelley our direct ancestor

Elmer E. Kelley b. Jan 1864 in Pa. He was the second son of Georege M. Kelley and Rachael J. Shive. He lived in Lower Augusta, Northumberland Co., Pa in 1880. In 1900 he lived in Sunbury, Northumberland Co., Pa., then in 1910 they moved to Columbia, Pa.
He married Hannah Clarissa Cawley in about 1885.

Hannah was born March 1869 and was the daughter of Hiram Cawley and Lydia (Unknown) Cawley. In 1870 she lived in North Union, Schuykill, Pa in 1870. They moved to Sugar Loaf, Luzerne, Pa in 1880.
Elmer E. Kelley and Hannah Clarissa Cawley were married about 1885.


They had the following children:
George Washington KELLEY was born on 27 Feb 1887 in Rockefeller Twp, Northampton Co, PA. He was our direct ancestor. He married Minnie Mae MERTZ in 1907. He died in 1972. They are the parents of my grandmother Edna Mae Kelley Robinson. (This will be explored on another Blog)

Rachel V KELLY was born in Mar 1889 in Philadelphia Pa USA. She lived in Sunbury, Northumberland, Pennsylvania in 1900. Sex: Female.

Harold C KELLY was born in Mar 1891 in Philadelphia Pa USA. He lived in Sunbury, Northumberland, Pennsylvania in 1900. He lived in Berwick Ward 1, Columbia, Pennsylvania in 1910. Sex: Male.

Vannie H KELLEY was born in 1893 in Pennsylvania. She lived in El Monte, Los Angeles, California in 1930. Sex: Female. She died in California.


William Henry KELLEY was born in May 1895. He lived in Sunbury, Northumberland, Pennsylvania in 1900. He lived in Berwick Ward 1, Columbia, Pennsylvania in 1910. Sex: He was living in San Francisco, Calif. at 945 Valencia St. from a letter post marked 1962. George wrote to his brother “Willie". It says he will be 62 years old on the 19th of this month. They were both carpenter’s by trade and William had a problem with the Non Union workers. He mentions his son Gus KELLEY.

Walter KELLY was born in Jan 1900 in Philadelphia Pa USA. He lived in Sunbury, Northumberland, Pennsylvania in 1900. He lived in Berwick Ward 1, Columbia, Pennsylvania in 1910. Sex: Male.

Gordon KELLEY was born in 1902 in Philadelphia Pa USA. He lived in Berwick Ward 1, Columbia, Pennsylvania in 1910. Sex: Male.

Chester KELLEY was born about 1906 in Philadelphia Pa USA. He lived in Berwick Ward 1, Columbia, Pennsylvania in 1910. He lived in Kansas City Ward 5, Jackson, Missouri in 1920. Sex: Male.
Robert KELLEY was born on 03 Aug 1912 in Pennsylvania. He died on 26 Oct 1995 in Orange County, Calif.. Sex: Male.
